In a separate large mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and egg white with a handheld mixer on medium-high speed for 2-4 minutes until pale and frothy.

While beating, stream in the melted chocolate mixture. Beat until well combined.
Fold the all purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet ingredients with a rubber spatula until the dry streaks of flour nearly disappear.

Fold the chocolate chips into the batter.
