Brown Sugar Cupcakes

Brown sugar cupcakes are like your classic vanilla cupcakes but with a delicious, deep flavor from brown sugar. They have a warm, simple yet gourmet flavor you'll love.


Brown sugar, all purpose flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, egg, and buttermilk.

Preheat the oven to 350F/180C and prepare a cupcake tin with liners. In a large bowl, whisk the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt together.

Step 1

Add the oil, egg, vanilla, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients. Mix well with a rubber spatula. Make sure the egg is thoroughly combined, but be careful to not overwork the batter.

Step 2

Pour the batter into the liners. Use a cookie or ice cream scoop to make sure the batter is evenly distributed. Fill the liners only 2/3 of the way full.

Step 3

Bake the cupcakes at 350F for about 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
