Brown Sugar Buttercream Frosting

A creamy and fluffy buttercream recipe with a deep, caramel flavor from brown sugar.

Brown sugar buttercream is fluffy, tasty, and easy to make. It's made with brown sugar, butter, powdered sugar, and milk. It has a delicious deep flavor, perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and more!

Ingredients

You'll need softened butter, brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and salt.

Pulse the brown sugar in a food processor until fine. Then cream the butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix in the vanilla and salt.

Step 1

Beat in 1 cup powdered sugar on low then another cup. Mix in the milk 1 teaspoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

Step 2

Fill a piping bag with your buttercream and pipe it on cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and any other dessert you like.
