Soft Lemon Lavender Cookies

Soft and chewy citrusy lemon lavender sugar cookies rolled in cane sugar, lemon zest, and dried lavender flowers.

Lemon lavender cookies are perfect sugar cookies for Spring! They have lemon zest, lemon juice, and a little lavender. They're rolled in lemon sugar and dried lavender for crunch and a floral flavor.

Ingredients for the Cookies

Flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, butter, sugar, egg, egg yolk, vanilla, lavender paste, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

Ingredients for the Coating

Granulated or cane sugar, lemon zest, and dried lavender buds (make sure they're culinary grade).

Whisk the all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Set the bowl aside.

Step 1

Whisk the melted butter and sugar together in a separate large mixing bowl. Then mix in the egg, egg yolk, extracts, and lemon juice.

Step 2

Next, fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a rubber spatula. Fold in the lemon zest too.

Step 3

Scoop the cookie dough and roll each ball in a bowl of lemon lavender sugar. Bake for 9-13 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
