Buttery, sweet, and gooey homemade salted caramel to drizzle on anything. It's easy to make in just 15 minutes!
Salt4ed caramel sauce is easier than you think! You don't need a candy thermometer and the caramel is done in 15 minutes. Drizzle on cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and more!
Granulated sugar, unsalted butter, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Make sure the cream and butter are room temperature.
Add sugar to a pot on the stove over medium heat. Stir slowly. It will start to clump and turn golden.
After about 5 minutes, the sugar will begin to break down and melt. Continue stirring, avoiding the sides of the pan.
After a few minutes, the sugar will melt completely and turn an amber color. Take the pan off the heat.
Whisk in the room temperature butter. The caramel will bubble and stiffen a bit. Mix it in as best you can.
Whisk in the heavy cream until smooth. Then add the salt and vanilla. Pour the caramel into a glass jar once everything is mixed.
Let the caramel sauce cool for 30 minutes and pour on everything! Want to make this recipe? Check out the full instructions at:
