Fudgy chocolate "snowstorm" cookies with crinkled tops rolled in powdered sugar.
These snowstorm or chocolate crinkle cookies are a classic Christmas cookie recipe. They're chewy, chocolatey, and rolled in powdered sugar that looks like snow.
Unsalted butter, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, chocolate chips, powdered sugar.
First, cream the butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl on medium-high speed until light and fluffy.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt to the wet ingredients. Beat in on low until a few dry streaks are left.
Next fold in the chocolate chips. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Scoop the cookie dough and roll in powdered sugar. Bake the cookies for 11-14 minutes on 375°F until the edges are set.
Let the cookies cool completely on a wire cooling rack and enjoy! Want to make this recipe? Check out the full instructions at:
