Notes
Red wine- Use a young, fruity red wine and avoid aged wines. The best options are Spanish garnacha, tempranillo, or Rioja. Pinot noir also works well. There's no need to use an expensive or fancy wine.Lemon soda- Lemon Fanta is typically used as the mixer in Spain, but it is hard to find in the United States. If you can’t find it, use Sprite or 7-Up instead. You can also use a combination of lemonade and club soda or lemon seltzer or sparkling water.Serve in any type of glass. High ball, low ball, wine glasses, and goblets work. This cocktail does not keep well because the soda goes flat. Serve cold immediately after preparing. To make a larger pitcher, triple or quadruple the recipe.Nutrition calculated using lemon lime soda (Sprite).
