Whipped Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Fluffy and decadent whipped ganache for cakes, cupcakes, and more!

This rich whipped chocolate ganache is a great alternative to traditional chocolate buttercream. It's less sweet and very decadent, perfect for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients Needed

You only need 2 ingredients to make this! Use full-fat heavy cream and bittersweet chocolate. Dark and semi-sweet chocolate also work.

First, chop up your bittersweet chocolate bars into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 1

Heat the heavy cream in the microwave and pour it over the chocolate. Let it sit for about 1 minute.

Step 2

Whisk the heavy cream and chocolate together until it is smooth, shiny, and fully blended. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Once the ganache has solidified a bit, whip it on medium high speed for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
