Sour Cream Banana Muffins

Soft and fluffy bakery style banana muffins that are super tender and moist thanks to sour cream.

Banana muffins with sour cream are the perfect way to use brown bananas! They're fluffy and tender, packed with banana flavor. They come together in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients Needed

Overripe bananas, melted butter, oil, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, flour, baking powder, salt,  and cinnamon.

First mash the overripe bananas in a large mixing bowl with a fork or potato masher. Leave them a bit chunky or totally smooth.

Whisk the melted butter, oil, and sugars into the mashed banana until combined. Then whisk in the eggs and vanilla vigorously. Add sour cream.

Fold the flour and other dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with rubber or silicone spatula.

Step 3

Scoop the muffin batter into a muffin tin. Place in the oven and bake at 425°F for 5 minutes and then 350°F for 15 minutes.

Step 4
