Soft and Chewy Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Classic chocolate chip cookies made with milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet!

Milk chocolate chip cookies are soft and chewy with crisp edges and gooey centers. They have pools of melted milk chocolate, making them milder and sweeter than cookies with semi-sweet chocolate.

Ingredients Needed

Melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, egg yolk, vanilla, all purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and milk chocolate chips.

Whisk melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl vigorously so the sugar dissolves. This creates soft, amazing cookies!

Step 1

Next, whisk the room temperature egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract into the butter mixture until well combined.

Step 2

Gently fold the flour, baking soda, and salt into the wet ingredients until a few dry streaks of flour remain.

Step 3

Carefully fold in the milk chocolate chips. Place the bowl of dough in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours.

Step 4

Once chilled, scoop dough balls on to a lined baking sheet. Add more chocolate on top and bake for 10-13 minutes.

Step 5

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy! Want to make this recipe? Check out the full instructions at:
