Lavender sugar cookies are soft, chewy, and have a delicious floral flavor. They're rolled in lavender sugar to make them even more delicious!
All purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, butter, sugar, vanilla, lavender extract, egg, egg yolk, dried lavender flowers.
Start by whisking your all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a mixing bowl.
Mix melted butter and sugar together in a separate bowl. Then whisk in the the egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and lavender extract until it looks like a paste.
Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms and no dry streaks of flour are left.
Roll the dough into balls. After that, roll each one in a bowl of lavender buds mixed with sugar.
Bake the cookies at 350°F/180°C for 10-13 minutes or until the edges are set and the middles are puffy.
