Honey cupcakes are a perfect Summer cupcake recipe. The cake has a subtle honey flavor and moist texture with honey buttercream on top! They're perfect for using local farmer's market honey.
Cake flour, all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, honey, and buttermilk.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together. Then add the softened butter and beat on low speed for 3-5 minutes.
Next, add the eggs, vanilla extract, and honey to the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix the batter on low until a thick batter forms.
Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl. Then stream in the buttermilk, mixing on low until combined.
Scoop the honey cupcake batter into a lined cupcake pan. Bake the cupcakes for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
Once the cupcakes are done, let them cool in the hot pan for 5-10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
