Gooey, fudgy chocolate almond brownies with chopped almonds and almond extract.
Anyone who likes chocolate covered almonds will love these brownies! They're loaded with savory almonds and are the best sweet and salty treat.
Dark chocolate chips, oil, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, egg white, vanilla, almond extract, flour, cocoa powder, salt, chopped almonds.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in a heatproof bowl. Whisk the oil in and let it cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, egg white, white sugar and brown sugar together on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes. Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
While whisking, stream the chocolate oil mixture into the other wet ingredients. Mix until well combined.
Fold the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet ingredients until no dry streaks of flour remain. Fold in almonds until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased or parchment lined square baking pan and bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes. The middle will look slightly underdone but will continue to cook as the brownies cool.
Let the brownies cool completely before cutting and topping with flaky salt. Enjoy! Want to make these? Check out the full recipe at:
