Piped cookies that are sweet, soft, and will melt in your mouth. Perfect for Christmas!
Danish butter cookies are so nostalgic, buttery, and soft! You can decorate them with frosting and sprinkles, making them a perfect holiday cookie.
Softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, all purpose flour, and salt. Use high quality butter for the best flavor.
Cream softened butter and sugar together on medium-high speed in the bowl of a stand mixer until pale and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla until fully combined. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula before adding the flour.
Gradually mix in the all purpose flour and salt on low speed until the dry streaks of flour just disappear.
Prepare a piping bag with a star tip and fill it with dough. Pipe swirls onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 11-14 minutes.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the hot sheet before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
