Smooth, decadent cream cheese frosting perfect for slathering on cakes and cookies.
No butter cream cheese frosting is just as good as classic cream cheese frosting with butter! It's tangy, sweet, and delicious on everything.
You will need 2 blocks of softened, full-fat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Add cream cheese, vanilla extract, and salt to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
Beat the ingredients on medium speed until the cream cheese is smooth with no lumps. Scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed.
Add in half of the powdered sugar and mix it in on low speed. Start off pulsing the mixer so it doesn't fly out of the bowl. Repeat with the second half.
When the confectioners sugar is fully incorporated, increase the speed to medium until the frosting is creamy and smooth.
