Chocolate Ganache Cake

This single layer chocolate ganache cake is the perfect cake for chocoholics! It's rich, decadent, and easy to make without a mixer! It will impress your guests at any occasion.

Ingredients for the Cake

Egg, flavorless oil, buttermilk, vanilla extract, flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and hot coffee.

Ingredients for the Ganache

Bittersweet chocolate (dark and semi-sweet also work), heavy cream, cold unsalted butter.

In a large bowl, whisk the egg, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract together until well combined.

Step 1

Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a rubber spatula. Mix until the batter is mostly smooth.

Step 2

Next, mix in the coffee until smooth. Pour the batter into a baking pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 3

Make the ganache by pouring hot cream over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth and whisk in cold butter.
