Gooey and nostalgic Rice Krispie treats made with brown butter dipped in melted chocolate!
This classic Rice Krispie treat recipe will remind you of childhood. The flavor is even better with vanilla and brown butter. Dip in any kind of chocolate and add sprinkles for a tasty dessert!
Unsalted butter, marshmallows, vanilla, salt, rice crispie cereal, chocolate, sprinkles.
Melt the butter on medium low in a large pot. It will sizzle and foam. The foam will subside and the milk solids will brown. Remove from the heat.
Add in the marshmallows, vanilla, and salt. Place the pot back on low heat and stir until the marshmallows melt.
Mix the rice crispie cereal into the melted marshmallow until it is completely coated in it. Take off the heat.
Press the mixture into a lined square pan. Flatten it out with your hands or a rubber spatula. Let set at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
Once set, slice the Rice Krispie treats and dip in melted chocolate. You can use white, dark, or milk chocolate. Add sprinkles if desired.
