Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies

Classic sugar cookies filled with melty chocolate chips. They are chewy with crisp edges made without brown sugar!

These chocolate chip sugar cookies are the perfect cookie mashup. Without the brown sugar, the chocolate flavor really shines through. They're rolled in sugar and mini chocolate chips.

Ingredients Needed

Melted butter, sugar, egg, egg yolk, vanilla, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips, and mini chocolate chips.

First, melt your butter and let it cool. In a large bowl, whisk in the sugar until well combined.

Step 1

Whisk in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until combined. The mixture will look like a thin paste.

Step 2

Pour all of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold them in with a rubber spatula until a few dry streaks of flour remain.

Step 3

Next, fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until they are well-distributed throughout the dough.

Step 4

Mix mini chocolate chips and sugar together in a bowl. Scoop balls of cookie dough and roll them in the sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-13 minutes until the edges are golden.

Step 5
