Boozy Bourbon Chocolate Truffles

Creamy, indulgent chocolate truffles spiked with bourbon.

What's better than a chocolate truffle? A truffle spiked with alcohol! These boozy truffles are made with bourbon and are the best chocolatey, decadent little treats and are so easy to make.

Ingredients

Chopped dark chocolate (or chocolate chips), heavy cream, bourbon, salt, and cocoa powder.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat  the cream, bourbon, and salt. Whisk occasionally to prevent it from burning. When the cream begins to bubble, take it off the heat.

Step 1

Add the chocolate to a heat-proof bowl and pour the hot cream over it. Let it sit for a minute and then whisk until the chocolate is totally melted and smooth.

Step 2

Cover the chocolate with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Then, use a cookie scoop or melon baller to portion the ganache into 1 tablespoon mounds.

Step 3

Roll each ganache mound into balls with your hands. This is messy, so I recommend wearing rubber gloves! After that, coat each truffle in cocoa powder.

Step 4

Serve the truffles at room temperature and enjoy! Want to make this recipe? Check out my top tips and full instructions at:
