Blueberries and chocolate is such an underrated combination. These blueberry chocolate chip muffins highlight the two flavors in a fluffy muffin with super tall muffin tops.
Granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, oil, eggs, vanilla, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, blueberries, and chocolate chips.
First, whisk the sugars, melted butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla together in a large mixing bowl. Then whisk in the Greek yogurt and buttermilk.
Next fold in the all purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until a few dry streaks of flour are left.
Fold in your blueberries and chocolate chips until they're evenly distributed throughout the muffin batter.
Fill muffin liners to the top and sprinkle with coarse sugar and more chocolate chips. Bake at 425°F for 5 minutes, then lower the heat to 400°F and bake for 15-20 more minutes.
Let the baked muffins cool in the hot pan for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
