Banana Chocolate Chunk Muffins

Soft and fluffy bakery style banana muffins loaded with melty chocolate chunks!

Moist banana chocolate chunk muffins are the perfect way to use brown bananas! They're fluffy and tender, packed with banana flavor and chocolate pools. They come together in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients Needed

Overripe bananas, melted butter, oil, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, flour, baking powder, salt,  cinnamon. and chocolate chunks.

First mash the overripe bananas in a large mixing bowl with a fork or potato masher. Leave them a bit chunky or totally smooth.

Whisk the melted butter, oil, and sugars into the mashed banana until combined. Then whisk in the eggs and vanilla vigorously. Add sour cream.

Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with rubber or silicone spatula. Then add the chocolate chunks.

Step 3

Scoop the muffin batter into a muffin tin. Top with extra chocolate chunks and bake at 425°F for 5 minutes and then 350°F for 15 minutes.

Step 4
