Buttery and soft classic Christmas cookies made into Holiday shapes with a cookie press.
Christmas cookie season is here and these bite sized German spritz cookies are perfect to make for cookie exchanges or holiday parties. They're made into festive shapes with a cookie press.
Unsalted butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, all purpose flour, and salt.
Cream the butter and sugar together on medium-high speed until light and fluffy. Then add the egg, vanilla, and almond and beat on medium-high until fully combined.
Gradually mix in the flour and salt on low speed until fully combined. Add a few drops of food coloring to the dough if desired.
Fit your cookie press with a decorative metal plate according to the manufacturer’s directions. Scoop some cookie dough into the cookie press.
Press the cookies out onto the baking sheet and add sprinkles if desired. Bake each cookie sheet for 7-10 minutes at 350F until the cookie edges are slightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool on the tray before transferring to a wire rack and enjoy! Want to make these? Check out the full recipe at:
